Weiss Watch Picture Gallery-Men’s and Women’s Weiss Watches.
The Weiss Watch Company is a modern American watch brand founded in 2013 by Cameron Weiss, a master watchmaker trained in Switzerland. Based originally in Los Angeles and later in Nashville, Tennessee, Weiss set out to revive fine mechanical watchmaking in the United States, a field once dominated by companies like Elgin, Waltham, and Hamilton.
- Founder: Cameron Weiss studied at the Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking School in Miami (part of the Swatch Group) and trained with prestigious Swiss manufacturers including Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin before starting his own company.
- Mission: To bring back American watchmaking by crafting timepieces with as many U.S.-made components as possible.
- Production: Weiss initially imported Swiss movements but soon developed the Caliber 1003, a mechanical movement that was largely produced and hand-finished in the U.S. Their goal has been increasing domestic manufacturing with each model release.
- Design: Watches are often military- and aviation-inspired, known for their clean dials, durability, and timeless American tool-watch style.
- Notable Models:
- Standard Issue Field Watch – the brand’s flagship piece, built in classic military field watch style.
- American Issue Field Watch – powered by the in-house Weiss Caliber 1003.
- Limited Editions – including collaborations and hand-finished models.
- Reputation: Weiss is praised for quality craftsmanship, transparency about sourcing, and genuine effort to rebuild American horology. They are among the very few U.S. watchmakers producing mechanical movements domestically.
